Financial Hardship

Handypay understands that financial stress may be a result of unforeseen changes to circumstances, and so we are committed to supporting customers experiencing financial hardship. Those circumstances could be personal (e.g. illness or injury), a major life event (e.g. death of a loved one, loss of employment), or another reasonable cause.

While financial hardship assistance does not remove the obligation to repay a loan, it is intended to help make loan repayments more manageable during a time of financial difficulty. Handypay may agree to change the contract if it is satisfied that there is a reasonable cause for the borrower’s inability to meet their obligations, and that the borrower will be able to meet their obligations under the contract if it was changed.

Please let us know if you are struggling to meet your existing repayments.
